Lead Talent Acquisition Partner

First dedicated technical recruiting role for a well-funded Toronto B2B data-infrastructure startup. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the CTO, the partner owns the entire technical hiring engine and protects a high engineering hiring bar.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for engineering and technical roles, from sourcing through offer close.
• Calibrate requirements and interview loops with technical leadership.
• Build recruiting infrastructure, ATS discipline, metrics and pipeline forecasting.
• Develop a strong network of Toronto backend, distributed-systems and data engineers.
• Create highly personalized outbound sourcing strategies.
• Navigate competitive offers and explain startup-equity value to senior candidates.

Profile

• 5+ years of in-house technical recruiting, including high-growth startup experience.
• Technical fluency with distributed systems and data-platform talent.
• Strong closing track record and knowledge of startup equity.
• Metrics-driven, autonomous and comfortable building recruiting operations from scratch.
• Existing Toronto technology network is valuable.

Downtown Toronto, in-office/hybrid. Base compensation advertised up to C$150,000+ with equity, health/dental benefits, wellness/professional-development allowances and four weeks of vacation.
