Technicien CVCA

Full-time permanent HVAC Technician opportunity with PMC Energy in the Halifax/Dartmouth area. The technician performs field service, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and installation work on commercial and multi-residential heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Key responsibilities
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration equipment in operating facilities.
• Complete preventive maintenance and corrective repairs.
• Perform installation and commissioning work as required by projects and service calls.
• Use technical documentation and diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and controls-related issues.
• Communicate with customers and internal service personnel about findings, repairs and follow-up work.
• Maintain safe work practices and accurate service documentation.

Profile
Journeyperson-level HVAC experience and approximately five years of relevant practical work are expected. Air-conditioning and refrigeration licensing is required for the role. Strong troubleshooting ability, commercial-service experience, safe work habits and the ability to work independently in customer facilities are important.
