Licensed Plumber

Role overview

GHRC is recruiting an experienced licensed plumber for a client in Peterborough. The role covers installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plumbing systems across residential, commercial and/or industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, valves and related equipment.
• Diagnose plumbing problems and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications and plumbing layouts.
• Install and service water supply, drainage, venting and waste systems.
• Test systems for leaks and proper operation.
• Complete renovations, new installations and service assignments.
• Perform work in compliance with Ontario codes, regulations and safety requirements.
• Keep accurate records of completed work and materials used.
• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, contractors and other trades.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Compensation

Pay starts at CA$30.00 per hour.

• Valid Ontario Plumber 306A Certificate of Qualification with Red Seal endorsement.
• Previous plumbing installation, maintenance and service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of Ontario plumbing codes and applicable regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Comfort working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, climbing and confined-space work when required.
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence and reliable transportation; company vehicles are used for daily operations.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Basic plumbing hand tools may be required.
