Role overview
FirstCareers is recruiting skilled Tool & Die Makers to produce, repair and maintain precision tools, dies, jigs and fixtures used in manufacturing. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail and hands-on machining and assembly experience.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble and repair dies, jigs and fixtures using manual and CNC machines.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications.
- Inspect and test completed tools for accuracy and performance.
- Maintain tooling equipment and ensure preventive maintenance schedules are met.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tooling designs.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Trade certification or Red Seal in Tool & Die Making preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with lathes, mills, grinders and measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and quality focus.
