Staff Software Engineer – AI & Platform

About the mandate

Alygra is supporting a confidential, high-growth digital consumer company in the search for a senior individual contributor who can combine hands-on engineering with platform architecture, technical leadership and practical AI enablement.

Key responsibilities

• Help define technical strategy, roadmaps and architecture standards across platform and developer experience.
• Identify scalability, reliability and delivery risks and drive solutions across teams.
• Integrate AI into development, testing, debugging, documentation and operational workflows.
• Build internal tools, reusable capabilities and agentic workflows where they create measurable value.
• Improve platform performance, reliability and shared engineering infrastructure.
• Lead technical reviews, coach engineers and take ambiguous cross-team initiatives from definition through implementation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Significant distributed-systems or platform-architecture experience, including Staff/Principal/Technical Lead influence.
• Strong hands-on engineering and experience with high-scale digital platforms.
• Practical experience introducing AI-assisted development or AI-enabled engineering workflows.
• Ability to influence multiple teams and balance engineering, product, security and compliance trade-offs.
• Relevant modern stack exposure includes JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, AWS and cloud-native systems.
