Role description
EPAM is hiring a BI Platform Operations Engineer in Toronto to provide production support, administration, maintenance and technical troubleshooting for enterprise business-intelligence platforms and AWS services. The role focuses on Tableau, Amazon QuickSight/Quick Suite and a custom BI-as-a-Service platform built on AWS.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Tableau and Amazon QuickSight production environments.
- Support the custom BIaaS platform, backend services, APIs and AWS infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot dashboards, datasets, permissions, sharing, SPICE ingestion and data-source connectivity.
- Monitor Athena, Glue, Lambda, API Gateway and CloudWatch.
- Investigate REST/API and serverless integration issues and analyze logs across layers.
- Participate in on-call rotation, incident management, root-cause analysis and operational automation.
Qualifications
- Strong production-support experience with enterprise BI platforms.
- Hands-on Tableau Server administration and Amazon QuickSight administration/support.
- Experience with QuickSight APIs or AWS SDKs.
- Working knowledge of Athena, Glue Data Catalog, Lambda and API Gateway.
- Strong REST API troubleshooting skills plus CloudWatch and AWS IAM experience.
- Experience with incident/problem management and root-cause analysis.
- Scripting or automation skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash or AWS CLI.
