YOUR ROLE :

As a Legal Assistant in Business Law, you will provide support to attorneys in their various cases.

Your varied and challenging responsibilities will include, among other things:

  • Drafting, editing, and reviewing correspondence;
  • Preparing and reviewing various lengthy legal documents (trust deeds, stock offerings, shareholder agreements, tax memos, contracts, statements, forms, reports, resolutions, etc.);
  • Preparing and compiling the documentation required for transaction closings;
  • Managing attorneys’ schedules;
  • Following up with various internal and external stakeholders;
  • Handling the receipt, paper and electronic filing, billing, tracking, and organization of case files.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience as a Legal Assistant in business, corporate, or commercial law, or in a similar position;
  • Strong bilingual skills, both spoken and written;
  • Proficiency with computer software, including the Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently, attention to detail, and a thorough approach to work.
