In-House Corporate/Real Estate Paralegal, Boisbriand

Do you have relevant experience as a Paralegal and want to make the leap to the corporate world?

Here’s a great opportunity to join a company headquartered in the Laurentians for a 12-month contract.

This top employer offers a flexible schedule, including a workweek that ends on Fridays at 1:00 p.m., as well as the option to work remotely. Although the position is available full-time, the company is open to offering part-time, 3 or 4 days a week.

YOUR ROLE:

As a Paralegal, you will provide support on cases involving corporate, commercial, and real estate law.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining minute books;

  • Coordinating documentation related to the formation and registration of corporations;

  • Drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents, including franchise agreements, confidentiality agreements, commercial agreements, correspondence, and reports;

  • Coordinating the tracking of legal matters to ensure compliance with deadlines and applicable statutory time limits;

  • Overseeing renewals, transfers of leases, and ensuring their rigorous tracking;

  • Maintain the company’s database of contracts and legal documents;

  • Monitor updates to the trademark portfolio;

  • Conduct research and verifications in various public registries, including the REQ, the RDPRM, and the land registry.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • DCS in Paralegal Technology or other combination of experience and equivalent training;

  • Experience in a similar role;

  • Excellent command of French and English (read, spoken, written);

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;

  • Thoroughness and attention to detail;

  • Excellent organizational and priority management skills.
