Legal Counsel, Real Estate
Downtown Montreal
Are you looking to grow your career in a dynamic environment where your legal expertise will have a direct impact on major real estate projects? Our client, a well-established organization in the real estate industry, is seeking a Legal Counsel, Real Estate to join its team in downtown Montreal.
Your Role
Reporting to senior management, you will serve as a strategic advisor to internal business teams and play an active role in legal matters related to the management and growth of the organization's real estate portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a trusted legal partner to business teams and senior leadership.
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial and real estate agreements.
Support real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing activities.
Provide strategic advice on contractual, regulatory, and compliance matters.
Manage certain litigation files and collaborate with external legal counsel.
Conduct legal research and monitor legislative and regulatory developments.
Assist with corporate governance matters and the maintenance of legal documentation.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal department processes, tools, and templates.
Qualifications
Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar.
Relevant experience in real estate and commercial law.
Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and files in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with strong business acumen and sound judgment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across various stakeholder groups.
