Role description
**Project Manager**
Greater Toronto Area, ON | Full-Time, Permanent
Our client, a growing and reputable developer builder is hiring a Project Manager to take day-to-day ownership of assigned building projects in the GTA.
You will be the person who keeps cost, timing, paperwork, and people aligned, working closely with the site team from the early stages of a project through to completion and handover.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Own the budget, schedule, contracts, and documentation for your assigned projects
- Pull together project plans and keep design information, permits, and approvals moving with consultants and internal teams
- Run procurement: prepare packages, evaluate pricing, recommend awards, and administer contracts, changes, and payments
- Track costs closely, forecast where the project will land, and flag risks early with options to address them
- Work side by side with site leadership on sequencing, logistics, and keeping milestones on track
- Back up the site team on quality and safety, and coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning
- Gather the records and documentation needed for a clean completion and transition after handover
- Run project meetings, report progress clearly to leadership, and guide junior project staff day to day
**Skills & Qualifications**
- An established project management track record in multi-residential construction in Canada
- Experience managing 4 to 6 storeys wood-frame residential projects as the lead
- Strong grasp of costs, schedules, contracts, and change management in an Ontario setting
- Able to spot buildability and detail issues when reviewing drawings and to work through them with the design team
- Related degree or diploma, or equivalent experience delivering comparable projects
- Confident with spreadsheets and common project management and scheduling software
- Organized, decisive communicator who follows through
- Valid driver’s licence and regular attendance at GTA project sites
**Compensation & Benefits**
- Base salary of $150-180K
- Performance based bonus of up to 20%
