Role description

Our Newmarket client is looking for an experienced Family Law Clerk to add to their team.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and analyzing financial statements and disclosures
  • Drafting, preparing, and revising correspondence and legal documents (pleadings, affidavits, conference briefs, etc.)
  • Communicate regularly with lawyers, clients, opposing counsel, etc.
  • Compiling court documents (conference briefs, motion materials, etc.)
  • Assist in the preparation of briefs and records for mediations, trials, examinations, and motions
  • Scheduling lawyers' calendars with appointments, mediations, discoveries, pre-trials, trials, motions, Zoom meetings, etc.
  • This is an in-office role
Experience:
  • 2+ years of Family Law experience
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Family Law rules and procedures
  • Team player attitude with excellent verbal and written communication
 
This a new position with the firm;  Expected Compensation Range  $60,000 - $90,000
