Vice President, Corporate Marketing
Location: Toronto or Vancouver | Hybrid

IQ PARTNERS is representing Nicola Wealth, one of Canada’s largest independent, non-bank private investment counselling firms, providing bespoke wealth management and asset management services to affluent individuals, families, and institutions across Canada.

The Opportunity Reporting to the Vice President, Head of Marketing & Communications, the Vice President, Corporate Marketing owns Nicola Wealth’s brand, including its identity, reputation, and growth.

This role sets the annual brand and corporate marketing plan, owns the brand and messaging framework and visual identity, and leads the in-house Creative Department and Brand Marketing team to produce distinctive, on-brand creative and content.

The VP, Corporate Marketing will build awareness and consideration in Nicola Wealth’s priority markets, strengthen brand health, and translate the firm’s story into campaigns that support growth across the business. The role places particular emphasis on building trust and a premium, consistent brand experience across every audience and channel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the annual brand and corporate marketing plan, setting brand growth, awareness, and consideration objectives tied to business goals.
  • Own Nicola Wealth’s brand and messaging framework and visual identity, ensuring consistent, high-quality application across audiences, channels, and teams.
  • Lead the in-house Creative Department, including creative direction, design, and copywriting.
  • Own corporate content strategy and the content production engine, ensuring a consistent and distinctive brand voice.
  • Direct integrated brand campaigns across owned content, advertising, and social in priority markets, including Toronto and Calgary.
  • Own the brand’s organic social presence and external content channels.
  • Manage the brand sponsorship portfolio and philanthropy-linked brand partnerships, as well as external brand and creative agency relationships.
  • Use brand-health tracking and market and audience research to guide brand strategy and measure performance.
  • Lead, coach, and grow the Corporate Marketing team of approximately 10.
  • Manage the function’s budget and return on investment.
  • Partner across Communications, Growth Marketing, Advisor and Client-segment Marketing, Insights, the executive team, and the Board.
What We're Looking For
  • 12+ years of progressive marketing experience, including 5+ years leading brand, creative, and/or corporate marketing teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required; Master’s degree or MBA is an asset.
  • Demonstrated success owning a brand, including brand strategy, messaging framework, and visual identity, and improving brand health over time.
  • Proven experience leading an in-house creative function and managing external brand and creative agencies.
  • Strong track record building and running integrated brand campaigns across owned content, advertising, and organic social.
  • Experience owning content strategy and a scalable content-production model, and using brand and market research to guide decisions.
  • Experience in financial services, wealth management, or another considered, regulated, high-trust environment is a strong asset.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, including experience presenting to executives and building and coaching multidisciplinary teams.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer.
