Location: Toronto, Ontario
Reports to: Senior Director, Talent Management & P&C Transformation
Salary: $150,000–$165,000 CAD

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Director, People & Culture, Workday Transformation Product Manager to lead the continued evolution of its global Workday environment. As the Workday Product Manager for the Global People & Culture organization, you will lead the business side of Workday transformation across key areas including Onboarding, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, Employee Lifecycle, Benefits and Compensation.

Working closely with P&C functional leaders, Business Partners, Technology and Finance, you will translate business needs into clear requirements, future-state processes and a prioritized product roadmap. You will also establish governance for Workday enhancements and help ensure new processes are effectively adopted across the organization.

Technology owns the technical configuration and delivery of the platform, while this role will provide the P&C leadership, business requirements and process direction needed to ensure Workday continues to meet the organization's evolving needs.

What You'll Do

Workday Product Management
  • Lead the P&C Workday roadmap, working with P&C leadership to identify and prioritize opportunities that improve data integrity, operational efficiency and the employee experience.
  • Partner with Technology to align Workday development with evolving global P&C processes while maximizing the capabilities of the platform.
  • Translate business needs from P&C Centres of Excellence and Business Partners into clear requirements, process maps, acceptance criteria and workflows.
  • Establish and manage Workday governance, including intake, prioritization, sequencing, approvals and decision-making for P&C enhancements.
  • Define business requirements for Workday integrations and automation.
  • Partner with Finance to support accurate data, reporting and seamless integrations with payroll and other critical platforms.
  • Coordinate user testing, readiness and adoption activities to ensure successful implementation of new processes and enhancements.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve Workday processes, functionality and the overall user experience.
Strategic Partnership & Collaboration
  • Work closely with P&C Centres of Excellence, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Total Rewards, to align processes and system capabilities.
  • Partner with P&C Business Partners to ensure solutions meet the practical needs of both corporate and field-based environments.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Finance and other key stakeholders to deliver integrated, scalable solutions.
  • Facilitate governance forums and create clear decision-making processes across a broad stakeholder group.
  • Partner with subject matter experts on training, change management and adoption plans.
  • Balance global P&C standards with regional requirements across a complex, multi-region organization.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10+ years of progressive P&C Operations experience within a global organization.
  • Experience launching or significantly enhancing an HR operations model within a P&C environment.
  • Extensive hands-on Workday experience, ideally as a Product Manager or business owner across multiple modules including Core HCM, Recruiting, Performance, Talent, Compensation and Benefits.
  • Experience with complex Workday configuration, integrations and technology-enabled transformation.
  • Experience developing human capital reporting and analytics capabilities using Workday.
  • A proven track record of leading Workday transformation at scale, including process redesign and change adoption.
  • Experience working across corporate and field environments in a complex, multi-region organization. Hospitality, retail or other service industries would be an asset.
  • Strong understanding of how to balance global P&C best practices with regional requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Technology, P&C Centres of Excellence, Business Partners and Finance.
  • Strong project and transformation leadership skills, with the ability to manage complex initiatives from planning through implementation and adoption.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to work effectively with senior leadership.
  • A strategic mindset combined with strong attention to operational detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
