Role description

A renewable energy organization is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to serve as a technical authority for electrical design and grid integration throughout the full project lifecycle.

Main responsibilities include supervising electrical design, reviewing engineering deliverables, supporting grid interconnection, advising project teams on technical risks and schedules, contributing to major equipment procurement, and supporting construction and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience with significant high-voltage expertise.
• Experience with medium-voltage collector systems, high-voltage substations and interconnection lines.
• Strong knowledge of electrical studies and design tools.
• Strong communication skills and English proficiency for work with partners outside Quebec.
• Ability to travel occasionally in Canada and the United States.

Additional information

Salary: CAD 130,000 to 150,000. Remote-work flexibility, enhanced retirement plan, group insurance and continuing education.
