Electromechanic

A production company in Lachine is seeking an Electromechanic for its evening shift. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the employee supports general plant maintenance, equipment troubleshooting and reliability while contributing to projects and the preventive-maintenance program.

Responsibilities include root-cause analysis of breakdowns and failures, safe completion of preventive and corrective maintenance work and proper documentation through the appropriate forms and work orders. The Electromechanic diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical and electrical irregularities, performs required electrical connections and control checks, helps maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts, tools and materials, and records completed work so the maintenance team can follow up effectively. The position requires a structured troubleshooting approach, good independence and continuous attention to safety and production continuity.

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in electromechanics or another relevant related program.
• At least three years of industrial experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Basic pneumatic knowledge.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems methodically.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance experience.
• Spoken and written French.
• Availability for on-call interventions when required.

Location: Lachine, Quebec.
Employment: permanent.
Evening schedule: 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Published pay: CAD 32–38 per hour.
On-call availability is required for some interventions.
