Financial Analyst

Financial-analysis role with a growing manufacturing organization in the Chatham-Kent area. The Analyst works across Finance, Operations, Engineering, Costing, Sales and Program Management to turn financial and operating data into practical decisions. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, reporting and variance analysis; monthly and ad-hoc management reports, dashboards and KPI analysis; business-case analysis for new programs, capital investments and cost-reduction initiatives; Material Cost Reduction analysis; review of data accuracy and calculation methods; profitability and cost-competitiveness work with cross-functional teams; support during product launches and engineering changes; competitive benchmarking; identification of financial and operational risks; and recommendations to improve reporting, workflows and finance processes.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics or a related field and roughly three to five or more years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, FP&A or a similar role. Manufacturing or automotive experience is strongly preferred. Requires budgeting, forecasting, variance and reporting experience, advanced Excel, familiarity with ERP and financial-reporting tools, strong analytical and communication skills and comfort working with large datasets. Power BI, SQL, automotive Tier 1/OEM experience, manufacturing costing, capital-investment analysis and cost-reduction programs are listed as assets.

Chatham-Kent, Ontario. Full-time permanent role. Public salary range: $75,000–$110,000 CAD per year.
