Role description
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate and assign work to a multi-skilled unionized crew.
- Support safe and efficient shipbuilding work according to schedule.
- Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled work.
- Monitor productivity and quality and provide employee training.
- Support performance management, time-entry administration and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with EH&S requirements and company quality policies.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 4+ years of crane-related or relevant work experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience; 5+ years in an industrial environment is an asset.
- College-level technical or vocational education.
- Intermediate English.
- Ability to manage work safely and efficiently and coach/mentor employees.
- Strong communication, computer and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Kronos or Aviva is considered an asset.
