About the opportunity

Horizon Health Network is recruiting Emergency Medicine Physicians for communities across New Brunswick. Permanent full-time and part-time positions are available, and Horizon also offers the possibility of a site visit or locum placement so physicians can experience the practice environment before committing.

Practice and support

• Provide emergency medical care within Horizon communities.
• Work in emergency departments serving a broad range of patient-care needs.
• Opportunities are promoted in Fredericton, Miramichi, Moncton, Saint John, Sussex / St. Stephen and Upper River Valley.
• Site visits or locum placements may be arranged with transportation and accommodation support.
• Shift flexibility is promoted to support scheduling and vacation needs.

Compensation and incentives

• Horizon advertises an average annual salary of $440,000+.
• Urban recruitment incentive: $50,000.
• Rural recruitment incentive: $100,000.
• Relocation support may be available.
• 100% reimbursement of CMPA annual dues.
• CME registration and travel reimbursements and a financial retention program are advertised.

Qualifications

Candidate profile

Horizon welcomes physicians with varied backgrounds and training, including international medical graduates. Detailed medical-licensing, credentialing and site-specific eligibility are handled through Horizon’s physician recruitment process and should be confirmed directly with the recruiter.

Additional information

Permanent full-time and part-time emergency medicine opportunities are currently advertised across New Brunswick. The Horizon Referral Reward pays $2,000 CAD for an eligible physician referral that leads to a qualifying permanent hire.
