Role description
Clinical anesthesia-support role with Vitalité Health Network. The Anesthesia Assistant works alongside the anesthesiologist in patient assessment, treatment and education, and helps manage ventilation, vital functions and monitoring in the operating room and other hospital areas.
The role supports safe delivery of anesthesia services throughout the facility and includes on-call or recall requirements.
Qualifications
• Diploma from a recognized anesthesia assistant program.
• Active membership with the New Brunswick Association of Respiratory Therapists (NBART).
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Fluent French and spoken English.
• Ability to report within 20 minutes during on-call/recall service.
• ACLS certification or commitment to obtain it within required timelines.
