Role description
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures and requirements.
- Analyze, design and implement improvements to manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and lead root-cause analysis.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to improve performance.
- Work cross-functionally on process changes and new technologies.
- Conduct time, workflow and capacity studies.
- Support safety and environmental requirements and maintain procedures and SOP documentation.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
- Fluent English.
- Strong manufacturing/process experience; pulp-and-paper experience is an asset.
- Lean/Six Sigma knowledge.
- Strong problem-solving and project-management skills.
- Experience with CAD, process modelling and data analysis.
- Strong communication, teamwork and technical-English skills.
