Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join a well-established branded hotel in Huntsville, Ontario. Working closely with the General Manager, this hands-on leader will oversee key areas of the operation, including guest services, front office, housekeeping, and breakfast operations.
The ideal candidate is a passionate hospitality professional who brings strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence. This individual will be highly visible throughout the property, supporting the team, engaging with guests, and ensuring consistent execution across departments. Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000

Description

• Oversee daily hotel operations across guest services, front office, housekeeping, and breakfast.
• Work closely with the General Manager to maintain strong operational, service, and brand standards.
• Lead, support, and hold team members accountable for performance and consistent execution.
• Manage departmental scheduling, staffing levels, and productivity based on seasonal business demands.
• Maintain housekeeping quality through effective inspections, follow-up, and attention to detail.
• Oversee operational inventory, including linens and departmental supplies.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond effectively to concerns and service recovery opportunities.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the hotel and engage with guests to ensure a positive and memorable experience.
• Ensure operational tasks are completed accurately and consistently, with strong follow-through.
• Support seasonal staffing requirements and adjust operational priorities based on occupancy and business levels.
• Work hands-on alongside the team when required, particularly during lower-volume periods.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and the overall guest experience.

• Previous leadership experience within hotel operations.
• Experience with a recognized hotel brand such as IHG, Marriott, Hilton, or a comparable organization is preferred.
• Strong experience in front office, guest services, housekeeping, rooms operations, or a combination of these areas.
• Previous resort, seasonal, or rural hotel experience is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to lead employees, establish clear expectations, and create accountability.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
• A hands-on leadership style with the flexibility to support different areas of the hotel as required.
• Confident, professional, and engaging guest-facing presence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when managing guest concerns and service recovery.
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of labour productivity, inventory, and cost-conscious decision-making.
