Accounting Manager

Role overview

A privately held real-estate organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to own a broad finance function and work directly with senior leadership. The position oversees accounting across multiple entities and combines hands-on financial operations with cash-flow, budgeting, forecasting and decision-support responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and financial reporting.
• Manage multi-entity accounting, bank accounts, AP, AR, payroll, the general ledger and reconciliations.
• Oversee intercompany transactions and cash flow.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and financial-performance reporting.
• Monitor financing, liquidity and capital needs.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, lenders and advisors.
• Support tax filings, compliance and year-end requirements.
• Identify financial risks, discrepancies and process-improvement opportunities.

• CPA designation.
• At least five years of progressive accounting experience; Accounting or Finance Manager experience is preferred.
• Strong multi-entity and intercompany accounting knowledge.
• Strong month-end, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow experience.
• Real-estate or property-management experience is an asset.
• Commercial judgment, independence, organization, adaptability and strong stakeholder communication.
• Accounting or property-management systems experience is an asset.
