Role description
Responsibilities
- Follow and promote all safety requirements.
- Supervise and maintain mechanical and electrical plant systems at the Grand Lake Timber Sawmill in Chipman, New Brunswick.
- Lead a maintenance team of approximately 10–15 people.
- Maintain standards and maintenance schedules and coordinate technicians/trades across shifts.
- Support health-and-safety requirements and preventive maintenance.
- Lead continuous-improvement, capital and shutdown initiatives.
- Coach, train and develop maintenance team members.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 4–7 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a production environment.
- Post-secondary industrial technology/engineering education and/or Red Seal mechanical or electrical certification.
- Fluent English.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic operating environment.
- Strong communication, safety leadership and team-development skills.
