Controller - Multi-Unit Retailer

Role overview

PeopleFind is conducting a search for a Controller for a multi-unit retail organization in the Vaughan/Toronto area. Reporting to the CFO, the role owns core accounting and financial-control activity while also providing business analysis and management reporting across a multi-location environment. The position is fully office based and combines financial leadership with hands-on oversight of reporting, budgeting and payroll.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and annual financial reporting and management-information preparation.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis across business units.
• Oversee accounting controls, reconciliations and financial-record accuracy.
• Support payroll and related financial-administration processes.
• Provide business analysis and decision support to the CFO and operating leaders.
• Improve reporting processes and help strengthen financial discipline across locations.

• Progressive accounting and controllership experience.
• Strong financial-reporting, budgeting and forecasting capability.
• Experience supporting a multi-unit or multi-location operating environment is valuable.
• Ability to work closely with a CFO and operational management.
• Strong analytical judgment and hands-on approach to accounting leadership.
