Senior Accountant, CPA - Family Office Clients

Role overview

PeopleFind is recruiting a Senior Accountant with CPA credentials and family-office or owner-managed-client experience for a Toronto professional-services environment. The role works with private clients on accounting, review and compilation work, bookkeeping oversight and tax-related preparation and is intended for someone who can combine strong public-practice fundamentals with direct client service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review accounting files for owner-managed and family-office clients.
• Support compilation and review engagements and associated working papers.
• Oversee bookkeeping quality, account reconciliations and financial-statement preparation.
• Assist with tax preparation and year-end client requirements.
• Communicate directly with clients on information needs, issues and recommendations.
• Support process improvement and junior staff where appropriate.

• CPA designation or equivalent relevant professional accounting qualification.
• Public-practice experience with private, owner-managed or family-office clients.
• Strong review/compilation, bookkeeping and financial-statement skills.
• Understanding of tax-preparation processes and year-end requirements.
• Strong client-service, organization and communication capability.
