Municipality of North Grenville – Interim, Director of Finance

Interim municipal finance leadership role reporting to the CAO and carrying the Treasurer responsibilities for North Grenville. The position leads budgeting, long-range financial planning, accounting, reporting, taxation, treasury, investments, reserves, revenue management and asset management while advising Council, the CAO and the senior leadership team on policy, priorities and financial sustainability. It is responsible for maintaining strong financial controls and legislative compliance and for overseeing taxation, payroll, accounting, audits and statutory Treasurer duties. The portfolio also includes procurement, contracts, asset management and development charges, with significant interaction across Council, municipal staff, government agencies, partners and community stakeholders.

Requires a university degree in accounting or business administration and a professional accounting designation such as CPA, CA, CGA or CMA. The posting calls for at least seven years of senior municipal or public-sector finance experience spanning budgeting, fiscal planning, policy development and staff leadership, including at least five years in senior management.
