Role description
Senstar is recruiting a senior engineering leader to take responsibility for the full sensor-engineering organization behind its perimeter-intrusion-detection portfolio. Reporting to the CTO, the Director owns end-to-end delivery across hardware design, embedded software, signal processing and verification, while balancing next-generation product development with sustaining engineering, manufacturing support and field escalations. The role leads roughly a dozen engineers and managers, sets planning and roadmap commitments with Product Management, oversees design-for-manufacture and regulatory interfaces, and drives quality outcomes across hardware, firmware and installation environments. The leader is also expected to establish engineering standards and review practices, coach first-time managers and technical leads, develop early-career engineers, collaborate with architect-level peers and distributed teams, support Sales and Marketing on product capability, and recruit and retain senior technical talent.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has proven leadership across both hardware and software disciplines, including experience managing managers, and deep technical credibility in at least one relevant domain such as embedded systems, signal processing, RF, electro-optics/photonics or electronics design. Candidates should have delivered products from concept through design, verification, certification/release and field support; developed engineers and managers; led distributed teams; and demonstrated strong estimation, prioritization and execution discipline. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is requested, together with roughly seven to ten years leading technology-product development and architecture. Experience in physical security, fibre-optic sensing, radar, regulatory certification, design for manufacture or Agile methods is an asset.
