Senior Production Operator – Technical Succession

## Position
A Montreal food manufacturer seeks an experienced technical production operator to maintain automated packaging lines and prepare for greater technical responsibility when the plant relocates in 2028. The role is intended for an experienced hands-on machine operator who can troubleshoot equipment, adjust production machinery and keep lines operating. The stated progression is toward a technical leadership role in the new facility rather than ordinary people management.

## Responsibilities
- Keep packaging and production lines running smoothly.
- Diagnose and resolve stoppages affecting production operations.
- Adjust industrial machines when problems arise.
- Respond to unexpected production interruptions and restore operation.
- Work with bagging machines, case packers, robotic cells and human-machine interfaces.
- Serve as a senior technical resource for the current production facility.
- Help prepare the organization's technical transition to a new plant in 2028.
- Apply automated-line experience to prevent and resolve recurring equipment failures.

## Scope and compensation
- Job-board salary indicator: $70,000.
- Succession path linked to a planned plant relocation in 2028.
- Direct staff supervision and training operators are not the core duties of this position.

## Requirements
- Several years of practical experience operating and troubleshooting automated production lines.
- Ability to diagnose and correct faults on packaging machinery.
- Familiarity with robotic cells and human-machine interfaces.
- Independence and interest in taking on additional technical responsibility.
