Role description
Opportunity
Unity Healthcare is actively recruiting Registered Nurses / Registered Psychiatric Nurses for independent-contractor assignments across Manitoba. Onboarded contractors can access a large pool of assignments through Shiftboard and choose opportunities based on their skills, schedule and location preferences.
Assignment support
- Assignments across provincial, federal, regional, private and First Nations healthcare settings.
- Access to acute care, emergency/ICU, long-term care, home care, addictions/treatment, dialysis and First Nations health-centre assignments depending on qualifications.
- Unity provides WCB coverage, travel-planning support and scheduling support.
Qualifications
Requirements
Applicants must be qualified nurses able to meet the credentialing and assignment requirements for the specific Manitoba setting. Specialty assignments require corresponding clinical experience/certifications.
Additional information
Compensation
- CAD $48-$50/hour depending on location, services, experience and qualifications.
- Overtime and statutory holidays at 1.5x.
- Per diem: $60 per 12-hour shift or $40 per 8-hour shift.
- Mileage: $0.45/km.
- Paid travel time from residence or Unity office in East Selkirk, whichever is closer to the assignment.
Contractor rates may increase for qualifying participants in Unity’s Exclusive Partner Program.
