Residential HVAC Service Technician (G2) – Toronto

Role overview

Weld Talent is recruiting for an established residential HVAC contractor serving Toronto, with some calls in Durham and York Region. This is a residential service position focused on diagnosing, repairing and maintaining furnaces, boilers, ductless mini-splits and other home HVAC equipment.

The employer is looking for a technician who wants to build a long-term career in residential service rather than use the role as a short stop toward commercial-only work.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair residential HVAC systems across multiple equipment brands.
• Service and repair residential boilers.
• Install, service and troubleshoot ductless mini-split systems.
• Complete service calls across Toronto and, when required, Durham and York Region.
• Participate in an on-call rotation of one week every eight weeks, with a 9:00 PM service cutoff.
• Work additional hours during peak periods.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners.

Requirements

• Valid G2 gas technician licence.
• Extensive residential HVAC service experience.
• Strong boiler experience.
• Strong ductless mini-split experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot a broad range of HVAC brands and equipment.
• Residence reasonably close to Toronto/GTA.
• Comfort with additional hours during busy periods.

Preferred

• 313D licence.

Full-time, on-site/service-route role. Official posting states one week of on-call duty every eight weeks with service ending at 9:00 PM.
