Field Service Technician - Hamilton/St. Catharines

Position overview

Field-service role supporting industrial bulk-gas supply systems, on-site production units, cryogenic and food-freezing equipment, plus process piping across Southwestern Ontario. The position is highly autonomous and includes company-provided tools, technology and a take-home service vehicle.

Key responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and service bulk-gas systems, piping networks, electronic controls and instrumentation.
• Perform pipefitting, welding and brazing from technical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Coordinate on-site contractors, commission equipment and manage work orders using digital reporting tools.
• Complete field documentation and participate in an after-hours emergency-response rotation.

Compensation and benefits

$39.05/hour with competency-based progression, overtime, extended health coverage, health spending account and RRSP matching. Company service truck, phone, laptop, tablet and corporate credit card are provided.

• Live in or near Hamilton/St. Catharines.
• Post-secondary trade qualification or Journeyman ticket in electrical, instrumentation, refrigeration, welding or a related industrial trade.
• 3–5 years of industrial field-service experience; cryogenic, atmospheric or compressed-gas experience preferred.
• Able to read complex schematics/blueprints, use Excel and troubleshoot independently.
• Valid driver’s licence, able to lift up to 60 lb and work outdoors with flexible scheduling/overtime.

Regional Ontario travel is approximately 15%, with occasional cross-provincial travel.
