Role description
Social Discovery Group is hiring a Senior .NET Developer for an AI product in a full-time remote role listed as Worldwide. The position contributes to a high-load C#/.NET Core platform and new AI capabilities while influencing architecture, reliability and engineering quality across the team.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the architecture of high-load services and expand the existing C# / .NET Core codebase.
- Build new product features and integrations, including an AI layer covering voice, real-time functionality and future video/emotion-recognition capabilities.
- Design and operate RabbitMQ asynchronous pipelines with attention to delivery guarantees, idempotency, error handling and backpressure.
- Work with MS SQL schemas and queries under load, including indexes, execution plans and hot-path optimization.
- Maintain a high bar for code quality through code review, testing, observability and engineering standards.
- Influence technical decisions beyond the immediate feature area.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial C#/.NET development experience, including at least 2 years using .NET Core in production.
- Hands-on distributed-systems and high-load experience, with the ability to reason about throughput, latency and fault tolerance from real production incidents.
- Experience with message brokers; RabbitMQ is preferred, while Kafka, Azure Service Bus or NATS can be relevant with a strong high-load background.
- Strong MS SQL Server experience under load, including indexes, execution plans and performance optimization.
- Fluent Russian.
- Ability to work on CET hours within approximately ±2 hours.
