Role overview

A Toronto ultra-high-net-worth family is hiring a live-out Head Housekeeper for a formal, fully staffed six-bedroom residence. The role supervises two housekeepers and one full-time laundress while remaining hands-on with daily housekeeping duties. The successful candidate is expected to lead by example and maintain exacting household standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional cleanliness, organization and care of high-end furnishings and finishes.
• Support laundry and ironing when required.
• Prepare family breakfasts.
• Create rotating schedules, coordinate a three-person housekeeping/laundry team and collaborate with other household staff.
• Work independently at other family residences when required.
• Occasionally travel to U.S. or European homes for periods of roughly two to four weeks to prepare or support residences.

• Minimum five years in luxury hotels and/or UHNW private households.
• Strong housekeeping, organization, teamwork and communication skills.
• Fluent French with conversational/professional English, or the reverse.
• Honest, reliable, discreet and professional; able to work independently and adapt to changing intensity.
• Valid driver’s licence and own car; work vehicle supplied for duties.
• Canadian passport as specified in the employer posting.
