Role description
## Opportunity
Strategic Way Consulting recruits a Senior Product Consultant to help nuclear-sector organizations improve digital products and technology-driven services. The position is based in Ontario with a hybrid or remote working arrangement. The consultant translates complex business problems and user needs into clear product strategies and delivery priorities, working with client stakeholders, technical and operational teams and product developers. Nuclear experience is useful but is not a universal prerequisite; experience modernizing complex organizations or working in highly regulated settings is transferable.
## Responsibilities
- Lead structured product discovery to understand users, existing processes, business goals and service challenges.
- Interview stakeholders and users, facilitate workshops and capture clear needs and constraints.
- Turn insights into product vision, objectives, roadmaps, prioritized backlogs and practical documentation.
- Help clients assess potential product or process approaches and their trade-offs.
- Work with engineering, digital, operational, design and delivery teams to plan implementation.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and delivery expectations.
- Support product lifecycle planning, iterative development, testing and quality feedback.
- Recommend prioritization based on value, feasibility, dependencies, risks and stakeholder needs.
- Review product performance, adoption and user feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate decisions and communicate product status to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Advise nuclear-sector clients on practical changes to workflows and digital product practices.
- Establish collaborative relationships with client leaders and internal delivery teams.
- Support organizational adoption, communication and continued product maturity after launch.
## Working arrangement
- Ontario-based role with hybrid or remote work options.
- Opportunity to work with digital innovation and complex nuclear-industry programs.
- Compensation and benefits to be established through the specific employment agreement.
Qualifications
## Requirements
- Several years of relevant experience in product management, digital transformation, consulting or closely related work.
- Demonstrated ability to manage product discovery, strategy and lifecycle planning.
- Experience communicating with senior stakeholders and navigating complex organizational needs.
- Strong analysis, workshop facilitation, stakeholder interviewing and presentation skills.
- Ability to work alongside technology, user-experience and operational delivery teams.
- Skilled at translating difficult business problems into implementable digital product requirements.
- Knowledge of Agile delivery, user research, software-as-a-service technologies or AI-enabled digital solutions is an asset.
- Experience in nuclear energy or another tightly regulated industry is useful but may be replaced by relevant transferable experience.
- Ability to collaborate with remote or hybrid teams.
