About the opportunity
An Edmonton accounting opportunity with a growing construction company that is bringing its accounting work in-house. The role supports the development of stronger internal accounting processes as the business grows.
Key responsibilities
• Manage accounts payable and day-to-day accounting transactions.
• Complete reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Support project costing and related accounting controls.
• Help establish and improve internal accounting processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records and reporting.
• Work collaboratively with leadership as the finance function evolves.
Qualifications
What they are looking for
• Three or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• Advanced QuickBooks capability.
• Experience improving or building accounting processes.
• Strong reconciliation and financial-record skills.
• Proactive and collaborative communication style.
• Ability to work effectively in a growing and changing business environment.
• Authorization to work in Canada.
