Role description
About the opportunity
Pacific Nations Capital Management is building an Indigenous-majority-owned investment-management firm focused on institutional-quality portfolio management and long-term financial stewardship. The Director, Capital Markets & Client Relations is a senior client-facing role working closely with the CEO.
Key responsibilities
• Oversee assigned client portfolios within approved mandates and risk parameters.
• Support portfolio construction, monitoring, rebalancing and investment reporting.
• Act as a primary contact for key client relationships and communicate investment strategy and performance clearly.
• Support client acquisition, retention, presentations, onboarding and relationship-driven business development.
• Maintain compliance with applicable securities requirements and internal governance standards.
• Contribute to marketing materials, reporting, audit support and regulatory reviews.
• Collaborate with the CEO and provide guidance within a small, growing team.
The role combines portfolio oversight, client relationship management, business development and regulatory responsibility.
Qualifications
Qualifications
• Minimum five years of experience in investment management, asset management or related financial services.
• Eligibility for registration with a Canadian securities regulator.
• Leadership experience within a registered firm or comparable regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of investment products, portfolio construction and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and grow client relationships.
• CPA, CIM, CFA or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Indigenous governance and economic-development frameworks is a significant asset.
