Role overview

Arrow Workforce Solutions is recruiting a full-time permanent Early Childhood Education Teacher in Whitchurch-Stouffville. The educator plans and delivers hands-on activities supporting children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development and creates a safe, clean and nurturing classroom where children can explore and learn confidently.

Responsibilities

The teacher observes and documents children’s development, provides individualized support, builds relationships with families, uses positive guidance strategies and follows health, nutrition, hygiene and safety procedures. The role collaborates with other educators, participates in professional development, maintains classroom materials and organization, prepares incident reports when necessary and uses childcare communication/check-in applications to maintain accurate attendance and parent communication.

• Early Childhood Education diploma or degree, or equivalent.
• Current registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators when applicable.
• Previous experience with young children, preferably daycare/preschool/early childhood.
• Strong child-development and early-learning knowledge.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to plan and assess developmentally appropriate activities.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Vulnerable Sector Check and current first-aid certification.
• Montessori accreditation is an asset but not required.
