Role overview

A Mississauga financial-services client is hiring an AML/Risk Analyst for a contract role focused on transaction analysis and financial-crime controls. The analyst reviews transactional activity, detects trends and suspicious indicators, escalates higher-risk cases and supports AML, sanctions and anti-terrorist-financing compliance in a regulated banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze transactions for risk patterns and suspicious activity.
• Manage workload against service levels for accuracy and efficiency.
• Escalate non-standard and high-risk transactions.
• Apply AML/sanctions regulations, due diligence and internal controls.
• Provide technical/operational support on AML and sanctions matters.
• Identify process improvements and support a strong risk-control culture.

• Two or more years of risk-analysis or AML-operations experience.
• Working knowledge of AML standards, regulations and procedures.
• Strong analytical, research, prioritization and confidentiality skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and strong communication.
• Banking/financial-services experience, CAMS/ACFCS certification and compliance-tool exposure are assets.
