About the opportunity

The Association of Ontario Midwives Benefits Trust provides health, wellness and retirement benefits to more than 1,000 midwives across Ontario. AOMBT is seeking an Executive Director to provide senior operational leadership and support the Board of Trustees in fulfilling its governance and fiduciary responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day executive leadership for the Trust and its operations.
• Support the Board of Trustees with governance, fiduciary oversight and organizational decision-making.
• Work with plan members, advisors, vendors and the Association of Ontario Midwives.
• Steward sustainable benefits programs that support members’ health, wellbeing and long-term security.
• Guide the organization through its next stage of development.
• Translate commitments to reconciliation, equity and good governance into organizational practice and relationships.

The role combines governance support, benefits-program stewardship and executive operational leadership.

Qualifications

• Executive-level experience and a graduate-level education profile are identified by the public posting.
• Commitment to reconciliation, equity and sound governance.
• Ability to translate governance and organizational priorities into effective operations and relationships.
• Experience working with boards, stakeholders, advisors or complex member-focused organizations is relevant to the mandate.
