Role overview

Career Connections Canada is recruiting a full-time Mechanical Assembler in Milton for a structured manufacturing environment. The role builds mechanical products from drawings and assembly instructions, using fixtures, gauges and hand/power tools while maintaining quality, safety and production standards. It also supports packing and shipping when needed and may contribute to continuous-improvement activities and team development.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and products according to drawings, work instructions and specifications.
• Use fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools safely and accurately.
• Inspect work for quality and identify defects or assembly issues.
• Support packing/shipping and other production duties as assigned.
• Participate in housekeeping, 5S and continuous-improvement activity.
• Assist or mentor coworkers when required by the operation.

• Minimum two years of mechanical-assembly experience in manufacturing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings and assembly instructions.
• Hands-on experience with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lb independently and up to 50 lb with assistance.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada without current or future sponsorship.
• Lean/Six Sigma, ERP/Oracle and continuous-improvement exposure are assets.

Current full-time Milton opening at $22–$24/hour with a day shift of approximately 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; overtime may be required.
