About the opportunity

Carter Wellington is recruiting a Family Physician for an established medical practice in Peterborough, Ontario. The physician will join three experienced family doctors and take over an existing patient base in a modern clinic with administrative and clinical support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care for patients of different ages.
• Assess and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Develop treatment and preventive-care plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic investigations.
• Provide screening, education and follow-up care.
• Coordinate care with specialists and allied health professionals.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Participate in collaborative patient care.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent).
• Eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
• Recognized Family Medicine training and certification suitable for independent practice in Ontario.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment and patient-centred approach.

Compensation and practice information

• Published earning range: $350,000–$550,000 CAD.
• Full-time, on-site opportunity.

• The posting describes an 80/20 physician-to-clinic billing split. This is the physician practice model and is separate from Carter Wellington’s recruiter split-fee collaboration.
