About the opportunity

Carter Wellington is recruiting two Family Physicians for an established medical practice in Edmonton, Alberta. These are permanent, full-time positions in a collaborative primary-care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive primary healthcare.
• Assess physical and mental-health needs in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Prescribe and administer appropriate medications and treatments.
• Manage acute illness and chronic disease.
• Counsel patients and families on health and lifestyle issues.
• Contribute to a patient-centred, community-focused model of care.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with CCFP certification.
• Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
• Minimum two years of clinical experience.
• Eligibility for professional liability insurance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Compensation and work conditions

• Published annual compensation: $400,000–$600,000 CAD, subject to negotiation.
• Permanent, full-time, approximately 40 hours per week.
• Start as soon as possible.
• Day, evening, weekend, night, on-call and overtime shifts may be available.
