Role description

Responsibilities

  • Promote and follow safe work practices.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve quality.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance and EHS teams.
  • Analyze chemical processes and process equipment and recommend improvements.
  • Support environmental compliance related to chemicals and waste.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of engineering experience in an industrial environment, with pulp and paper experience relevant to the posting.
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
  • Advanced English.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, analytical decision-making and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication, curiosity, mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, process improvement, leadership, initiative and teamwork.
