Role description
About the opportunity
Our client is one of Canada’s largest publicly traded infrastructure and construction companies, delivering major projects across nuclear, civil, utilities, industrial and urban transportation markets.
The Senior Treasury Analyst reports to the Treasury Manager and supports debt administration, equipment financing, cash-flow analysis, treasury systems and process improvement. The role also serves as the primary operational backup to the Treasury Manager and works with banks, equipment lenders and internal teams including Accounting, Tax, Legal, Procurement and IT.
Key responsibilities
Debt and equipment financing
• Reconcile debt and lease records to lender statements, subledgers, SAP and the general ledger.
• Maintain records of borrowings, repayments, interest, fees, maturities and lease activity.
• Support equipment-financing activities, including lender comparisons, terms, execution planning and recommendations.
• Coordinate documentation, approvals, funding and closing with internal stakeholders and lenders.
• Prepare debt reporting, schedules, journal entries and accruals.
• Support IFRS 16 schedules and reporting.
Cash-flow analysis
• Perform forecast-to-actual cash-flow variance analysis.
• Review cash-position and forecasting outputs, investigate exceptions and validate data quality.
Systems and process improvement
• Support the Treasury Management System implementation.
• Support automation of cash-board, forecasting and payment processes.
• Identify opportunities to standardize processes, improve reporting and reduce manual work.
Team and stakeholder support
• Act as the primary operational backup to the Treasury Manager.
• Help guide and cross-train junior team members.
• Build relationships with banks, equipment lenders, business units and internal functions.
Qualifications
What you bring
• CPA designation required.
• 5–7 years of experience in corporate treasury, banking, debt or lease administration, accounting or financial analysis.
• Hands-on experience with credit facilities, term loans, revolvers or financing transactions.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial models, large data sets, pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Working knowledge of IFRS 16 and lease accounting.
• Experience with SAP or another ERP in a large, complex organization.
• Strong collaboration skills and interest in future leadership.

• Salary: $80,000–$95,000 + annual bonus.
