Role overview

A large sustainable-packaging manufacturing facility in Ajax is recruiting an Industrial Electrician to join its maintenance team. The role supports a continuous 24-hour production environment and combines electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, system improvements and support for automated manufacturing equipment on rotating 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical and equipment malfunctions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Repair or replace defective machinery components and improve existing electrical systems.
• Support building systems and production-equipment upkeep.
• Work with PLCs, drives, servo systems and industrial automation tools.
• Read blueprints, specifications and manufacturer documentation.
• Use electrical and mechanical skills to support round-the-clock production.

• Industrial Electrician / Construction Electrician qualification and Ontario 442A licence.
• At least three years in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of CSA/ESA requirements and electrical compliance.
• PLC, AC/DC drives, servo systems and troubleshooting capability.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour day/night shifts and weekends.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb and maintain reliable attendance.
