Role description
About the opportunity
Hiring Inclusive is recruiting a Marketing & Communications Coordinator for a privately owned consulting engineering firm headquartered in Winnipeg. Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, the role is responsible for turning projects, people and technical expertise into clear, useful content that supports brand visibility, internal engagement and business development.
What you will do
• Write and edit content for social media, internal communications, proposals, presentations and marketing materials.
• Develop stories about projects, people and company culture in a consistent brand voice.
• Edit blog posts and thought-leadership material prepared with technical subject-matter experts.
• Capture and edit photography and basic video for projects, people, events and professional headshots.
• Plan, publish and track social-media content for professional channels.
• Update website content, including project highlights and company news.
• Support career fairs, networking sessions and company events, including setup and event photography.
• Create internal communication material such as office TV slides and Teams updates.
• Write, edit and format proposal content with technical and business-development teams.
• Maintain project reference sheets, team CVs and other reusable proposal material.
What makes the role interesting
This is a hands-on content role rather than a purely strategic marketing position. It combines writing, editing, visual content, digital channels, proposals and event support while working closely with technical professionals. The employer is looking for someone who can manage several priorities without losing quality or attention to detail.
Work arrangement
Full-time and on-site in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Qualifications
• 3–5 years of experience in marketing, communications or a related role.
• Strong writing and editing skills for proposals, digital content and internal communications.
• Experience editing content from technical or subject-matter experts.
• Experience creating and publishing social-media content for professional accounts.
• Hands-on photography and basic video-production skills.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and Microsoft 365.
• Strong organization, attention to detail and comfort managing multiple priorities.
• Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation.
• Professional-services, engineering or construction experience is an asset.
• Short-form video editing for social media is an asset.
