Role description
Under general supervision, the Maintenance Mechanic supports reliable operation of chocolate-manufacturing equipment through proactive and reactive maintenance. Duties include installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of production and facility equipment.
Qualifications
• Ability to follow directions and communicate in English orally and in writing; French is an asset.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial-maintenance skills, with some PLC experience.
• Mechanical experience in food or chocolate production, including automated lines and flow-wrapper packaging, is an asset.
• Experience with gearboxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals and bearings.
• High flexibility and strong interpersonal skills in a diverse workplace.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Continuous-improvement mindset, learning capacity and adaptability.
• Ability to work in wet, humid, dusty, cold, hot, indoor and outdoor environments.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg regularly.
Additional information
Schedule: full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with weekend flexibility when required.
Published pay range: $23.00 to $28.00 per hour.
