Role description

Opportunity

A well-established shipping and logistics organization is seeking a senior HSQE leader for a multi-site Vancouver operation spanning terminal, port and marine environments. The role provides strategic and operational leadership across health, safety, quality and environmental programs.

Responsibilities

  • Set HSQE direction, governance, policies and management systems.
  • Lead safety culture, investigations, regulatory reporting, audits and corrective actions.
  • Integrate HSQE into operations and business planning and support emergency and risk programs.
  • Build and mentor the HSQE team and develop executive performance reporting.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive HSQE/EHS leadership experience.
  • Experience in shipping, ports, terminals, logistics, heavy industry, construction or industrial operations.
  • Knowledge of OHS, environmental compliance and quality systems, including work in unionized environments.
  • Relevant post-secondary education.
  • CRSP, CSP, NEBOSH or equivalent is strongly preferred; ISO 45001/14001/9001 experience is an asset.

Additional information

Full-time permanent role. Salary begins around $100,000 depending on experience, with performance-based incentives.
