Role description
About the opportunity
ML6 is recruiting a Project Coordinator for an Ontario contractor delivering commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects. Based from the company’s Waterloo head office, the role supports multiple active projects from initiation through completion and works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents and client representatives.
Key responsibilities
• Coordinate project logistics, documentation and administrative flow across multiple concurrent job sites.
• Assist with baseline schedules, schedule updates and milestone tracking using Microsoft Project.
• Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, change orders and inspection records.
• Support procurement through purchase orders, requisitions and material-delivery tracking.
• Compile progress logs, financial updates, equipment tracking and vendor documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to support timely submissions and project flow.
• Participate in project startup and progress meetings, record minutes and follow up on action items.
• Conduct occasional site visits and help maintain communication between the Waterloo office and field teams.
Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role in civil, commercial or industrial construction.
• Ability to support multiple projects at the same time with strong prioritization and time management.
• Comfortable commuting to the Waterloo head office.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel and document-control systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaborative working style.
• High attention to detail, problem-solving skills and proactive follow-through.
Additional information
