Pinnacle Executive Search has been exclusively retained by our client, a general contractor, to add a **Construction Safety Advisor** to their team.

This role is for a safety professional who does their best work in the field. You walk the site, know the crews by name, and can stop unsafe work without losing anyone’s respect. You also bring structure behind the scenes: clean documentation, sharp audit preparation, and a program that keeps getting better. ## WHAT YOU WILL DO

**On Site**

- Be a visible, approachable safety presence across active projects

- Run site inspections, flag hazards, and work with supervisors on practical controls

- Support emergency preparedness, including site drills and response planning

- Keep trade partners accountable to safety expectations and paperwork

**Program & Training**

- Strengthen and maintain the company’s health and safety program

- Write and update safe work practices that crews actually use

- Deliver orientations and refresher training, and give field leaders material for toolbox talks

- Keep hazardous materials documentation current

**Investigation & Improvement**

- Lead or support incident investigations and follow corrective actions through to completion

- Turn incident and inspection data into clear insights that prevent repeat issues

- Stay ahead of legislative changes and advise leadership on what they mean for the business

**Audit & Compliance**

- Prepare for and take part in COR audits

- Make sure site practices and records meet Manitoba regulatory requirements

## MUST HAVES

- Health and safety experience in a construction environment, or strong safety experience in another high-risk industry

- Solid working knowledge of Manitoba workplace safety legislation

- Confidence on site and the ability to deal with resistance calmly and firmly

- Organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing several sites at once

- Strong writing skills for procedures, reports, and investigation findings

- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to out-of-town projects as needed

## ASSETS

- OHS diploma or certificate

- NCSO, NHSA, CRSP, or a similar designation (or working toward one)

- COR program experience
